This agreement was the fruit of the 21st KIPO-JPO commissioners meeting held at KIPO on December 18, 2009. At that meeting, the commissioners agreed to cooperate on IP training and take comprehensive steps for such cooperation: exchange information and opinions on e-Learning contents, educational curriculums such as IP education programs for employees of the civil, academic and public sectors; promotion and operation of connective curriculums between both training institutes.
The agreement is expected to expand cooperation with foreign training institutes and promote the cultivation of IP experts with global perspectives through the benchmarking of advanced educational methods. It is also expected to create synergy effects for both countries regarding the field of IPRs education.
